Accessibility statement
This statement covers airacegp.com: the home page, this page and the page-not-found page. The documentation at docs.airacegp.com has its own accessibility statement.
airaceGP is a free, non-commercial private project. The Czech accessibility laws do not oblige it: Act No. 99/2019 Coll. covers public-sector bodies, and Act No. 424/2023 Coll. (the European Accessibility Act) covers products and services sold to consumers, and airaceGP is not sold. The Luxembourg rules on digital accessibility likewise apply to public-sector websites. We follow them voluntarily anyway, with the standard they use: EN 301 549 V3.2.1, which for websites means WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Compliance status
airacegp.com is partially compliant with EN 301 549 V3.2.1 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA, based on our own assessment of 27 September 2026, reviewed on 3 October 2026. We know of no remaining failure, but the site has not yet been tested with a screen reader, so we do not claim full compliance until it has.
That assessment found problems, and we fixed them before publishing this statement. Among them: animations that repeated forever and could not be paused, a flickering number on the page-not-found page that kept repeating, and a missing skip link. Now every animation stops by itself, the home page has a Pause animations button in its header that stops all motion at once and is remembered, and the site is static if your system asks for reduced motion.
The review on 3 October 2026 found and fixed three more: the borders of outline buttons were too faint (now at least 3:1 against the page), the credits had no heading of their own, and a contributor's Japanese name was not marked as Japanese.
No assistive-technology user has tested the site yet. If a test with a real screen reader finds a problem, we will fix it or list it below; if it finds none, we will change this status.
What is not accessible
Non-compliant content
None known. The open item is the screen-reader test described below.
Exempt content
None on these pages. Links to YouTube and GitHub lead to third-party sites that we do not run or control; their accessibility is up to them. The fonts are served from this site; if they do not load, the text falls back to your system fonts and stays readable.
Disproportionate burden
None claimed: nothing on this site is left inaccessible on grounds of cost or effort.
How we assessed it
A self-assessment by the project on 27 September 2026. Every page was checked at 390 and 1440 pixels wide, with animations on and with reduced motion:
- automated testing with axe-core 4.10 against the WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 A and AA rules, with every result axe could not decide reviewed by hand;
- keyboard only: every link and button reached in order with a visible focus indicator (measured at 3:1 contrast or more), the skip link, the mobile menu and the questions that open and close;
- zoom to 200%, reflow at 320 pixels wide, and the WCAG text-spacing test;
- contrast of text and controls, animations (pausing, and nothing flashing more than three times a second);
- the structure a screen reader relies on: page language, titles, landmarks, headings, link names and text alternatives.
The automated part is the _verify_a11y.py script in the site's repository. We could not yet
test with a real screen reader such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver; that test is still to be done.
Statement prepared on 27 September 2026. Last reviewed on 3 October 2026.
